1-The word Upanishad is a combination of the two Sanskrit word, i.e. upa and nishad which means to sit down near someone (in this context, the Guru)


2-Jesh, Kath, Ken, Mandukya, Brihadaranyka, Mundaka, Chhandogya, Taittiriya, Aitareya, and Kaushitiki are some important Upanishads out of 108 Upanishads in total.

21-There are 18 ‘Puranas’. Matsya Purana is the oldest Puran.
