1-Prince Charles of Britain on twenty eight Sep 2015 awarded Indo-British van driver Dee Patel with the Pride of Britain Award.

2-The Global Investors Meet (GIM 2015) was on ten September 2015 organised in Tamil Nadu to woo investors to invest within the state. The GIM 2015 was officially inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the Chennai Trade Centre.

3-Internet search engine giant Google on twenty seven Sep 2015 declared its tie-up with Indian Railways that will offer free Wi-Fi facilities to four hundred stations. The Wi-Fi facilities will be provided under Project Nilgiri .

4-Jamaican runner Asafa Powell has set a new world record in the 100 m  at  Zagreb World Challenge meet event in Croatia on September 8, 2015.He completed the 100m in 9.96 seconds and topped.

5-Indian Space Research Orgnaisation (ISRO) has launched India’s 1st dedicated satellite for astronomy research, named ASTROSAT.

The satellite was launched from the 1st launch pad of Satish Dhawan space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh at 10 am by Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C30).

6- Former Indian ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad was appointed as the Director General of Institute of Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), the prestigious New Delhi-based think tank on strategic affairs.

7-Reliance Defence Ltd. (RDL) has signed a strategic pact with UAE’s Emirates Defence Industries Company (EDIC) for collaboration in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) category.

8-The book ‘Green Signals: Ecology, Growth, and Democracy in India’  has been written by former Union environment and Forest Minister (Independent Charge) Jairam Ramesh.

9-Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari has launched green Highways (Plantation, Transplantation, beautification and Maintenance) Policy, 2015.

10-World tourism Day was celebrated across the planet on twenty seven Sep 2015. The theme of the world tourism Day 2015 is One Billion Tourists, One Billion Opportunities.

11-The 1st World tourism Day was celebrated in 1980 after decision taken by the United Nations World tourism Organisation (UNWTO) General Assembly in 1979.

12-Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched a new mobile app named Disha to push digital literacy in Bihar.

13-Short story author and novelist Jhumpa Lahiri was on ten September 2015 awarded with the 2014 National Humanities medal by the White House, USA

14-The 2030 Agenda and the international Goals were adopted during the United Nations sustainable Development Summit that is being organised at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

15-The Param Tyag Chakra initiative was launched on nine August 2015 by the Alumni Association of Rajagiri school of Engineering and Technology to honour family members of brave military men, who sacrificed their lives for the nation.

16-The INS Vajrakosh was on nine Sept 2015 commissioned by the Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar at Karwar, Karnataka. INS Vajrakosh is the latest establishment of the Indian Navy.

17-Global satellite named ‘GlobalSat for DRR’ proposed to be named after Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

18-Number of tigers in Sundarbans (Bangladesh) declined sharply from 440 in 2004 to 106 in 2015

19-The Tiger Census 2015 was conducted by Bangladesh-India Joint Tiger Census Project and was carried out under Strengthening Regional Cooperation for wildlife Protection in Asia Project with funding from the World Bank.

20-Global Information Technology Wipro has been selected as member of Dow Jones sustainability World Index
