Giriraj Singh, who is a Union Minister, started a big campaign by the Department of Land Resources (DoLR). The main point of this campaign is to tell people about two important things: computerizing land records and making maps digital.

This campaign wants to help regular people understand the new ideas in Land Governance and Watershed Development part of the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayi Yojana (PMKSY).

In this campaign’s first part, they’re talking about the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS), WDC-PMKSY, and the Cactus Project.

A while ago, the Government started a program called Digital India Land Records Modernization Program (DILRMP) in 2016. This program helps states make their land offices digital. For example, when you buy land, the papers can be digital.

They made a system called the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS). It’s like a special software that all states can use, and they can change it a bit to fit their needs. This campaign will use things like outdoor ads, social media, text messages, and radio ads to tell people about all this cool stuff.

2-Passing of Bikash Sinha, a Notable Nuclear Scientist

Bikash Sinha, a famous scientist who studied atoms and nuclear energy, passed away in Kolkata at the age of 78. He used to be in charge of two important places: the Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics and Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre.

He even looked into how the universe started, which we call early cosmology.

He did something really cool – he led a team of Indian scientists to work with a group in Europe that studies atoms. They did experiments together. The Indian government gave him awards for his hard work: the Padma Shri in 2001 and the Padma Bhushan in 2010. He also got the RD Birla Award for being great in physics in 2002.

It’s a way to honor the struggles and sacrifices made by countless individuals.

The partition resulted in the displacement of millions of people and tragically claimed numerous lives. This division was outlined in the Indian Independence Act of 1947. During this time, British India was separated into two independent countries: India and Pakistan.

The Bengal and Punjab provinces were divided based on the population’s religious affiliation – whether they were non-Muslim or Muslim.

The actual border between India and Pakistan was determined by the Boundary Commission, led by British lawyer Cyril Radcliffe.
